We had been managing the Google Ads account for Sliptech for a number of months when, due to a change in their business circumstances, they challenged us to increase the number of leads generated through PPC significantly and decrease the CPA while maintaining the same level of spend.
In order to achieve these ambitious targets, we revisited our campaign strategy which resulted in a shift of focus from medium intent local searches to high intent searches on a national level. We also tested running the ads only on specific days and times based on historical conversion data, and introduced aggressive bid modifiers at the device level to ensure that the majority of our budget was funnelled towards the best performing device types.
Within 2 months we had successfully increased the number of leads generated by 60%, and decreased the CPA by 65%, and are now looking to grow the campaigns at this new target CPA level into 2020.
